Welcome Screen & Greeting Displays
The Welcome Screen is a digital greeting screen displayed on a TV, monitor, or projector at the entrance. It automatically greets guests by name and shows their table assignments the instant they are checked in.
Setting Up the Display Screen
- Connect a laptop to the main TV monitor or projector at the entrance.
- Log into the admin dashboard on that laptop and navigate to the Welcome Screen section.
- Click "Open Screen View". This opens a clean greeting webpage.
- Set your browser to Full Screen mode (press
F11) to hide browser borders and address bars.
Customizing the Design
You can adjust the display appearance to fit your event style:
- Event Identity: Add wedding couple names, event logo, and date.
- Media Theme: Set custom background images, colors, and welcome headings.
- Guest Alerts: Enable pop-up sounds and animation timings when a guest is checked in.
How It Works in Real-Time
- An usher scans a guest's QR code at the registration gate.
- Within milliseconds, the Welcome Screen transitions to show a greeting: "Welcome, Mr. John Doe! Seating Table 12." accompanied by a modern chime.
- After 5 seconds, the screen transitions back to the idle slide loop automatically.
💡 Setup Tip: Use a double-screen configuration: let your scanner staff run their dashboard on their phones, while the welcome screen laptop displays the fullscreen view on the lobby TV via HDMI.
